Concours d'Elegance 2012, Cottage Grove, Oregon

After much soul searching, the South Valley Rotary Club has decided to abandon the Concours. The event itself was not only fun and well received, and also had promise as a long-term fund raiser. That said, there are several reasons why we decided not to continue the event. The main reason was financial: not including the sale of a donated car, the 2012 Concours lost a small amount of money. We would not be able to guarantee a donated car every year, so the risk involved in growing this event versus the time required by Rotarians was too great. We felt that a different type of fundraiser might generate more money.

We are well aware of this event's historical significance for Cottage Grove, and hope that another group might be willing to step up.

Therefore, we would be willing to "pass the hat" to another group for a token price, including sale of the name, the website and the historical website content. Monthly hosting fees are less than $10 per month through our existing provider, and the transition would be smooth and trouble-free.
